FAQs

Common Questions

My dog has way more energy than me. Can you handle high-energy dogs?

High-energy dogs are actually some of my favorite adventure partners. I structure adventures to match their stamina and give them the kind of physical and mental outlet they’re usually missing. It starts with a consultation and then a plan on how to best partner with you and your pooch. The goal is a fulfilled, balanced dog, not just a tired one.

What if I have more than one dog in need of adventures?

Multi-dog households are absolutely welcome to adventure. Every dog is evaluated individually, then thoughtfully grouped (or separated) to create the best adventure for them. If your pack gets along well and has the same size and stamina, they can easily adventure together. This ensures better overall experience for each dog.

What should my dog bring?

Dogs should arrive wearing a properly fitted collar, harness (or tool of choice). If your dog has special treats, dietary restrictions, or requires medication, please include those with clear instructions. Pawsitive Outdoor Adventures provides fresh water, bowls, treats (unless otherwise requested), waste bags, and a pet first aid kit.

How do you handle extreme weather?

Colorado weather can change quickly, so safety always comes first. I plan every adventure based on temperature and conditions. Start times and trail selection are key. I actively modify outings during unexpected or extreme weather, which may include ending early or taking a break to 'wait it out'. I also bring fresh water, a dog hydration supplements, and cooling tools like ice packs when needed to keep dogs comfortable throughout the adventure.

Will I get updates or pictures?

Absolutely. After every adventure you'll receive a photo recap and a personalized adventure report covering how your dog did on the trail, highlights from the day, and any challenges worth noting.
